Pirates of the Caribbean Movie
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" - Captain Jack Sparow is back, as is the whole original team who made "The Curse of the Black Pearl". Captain Jack finds out that he has a blood dept to Davy Jones and if he doesn't pay it, he will be cursed forever. Determined to run away without paying it, Jack spoils the wedding of Will and Elizabeth and involves them into a lethal adventure, looking for the "the dead man's chest". The director is Gore Verbinski (who also directed the first part as well as "The Ring", "The Mexican"). Starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightly.

Super Ex-Girlfriend Movie
"Super Ex-Girlfriend" - the newest movie of Ivan Reitman ("Evolution") is a comedy, a production of Twentieth Century Fox. Starring Uma Thurman, Luke Wilson, Anna Faris. Matt (Wilson) breaks up with his girlfriend Jenny (Thurman). However, what he doesn't know is that Jenny is a superhero and now she will use all her super skills to make her revenge as worse as possible.

You, Me and Dupree Movie
"You, Me and Dupree" - The marriage vows of a newly-weds are put to a test when their best man settles in their house for an unknown period of time. With the Russo brothers as directors (Anthony and Joe) and the great actors Kate Hudson, Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon and Michael Douglas "You, Me and Dupree" has all the chances to become the comedy of the year, reaching the incomes of "Wedding Crashers".

Superman Returns Movie
"Superman Returns" - After in 1987 "Superman IV" ruined the oldest and most favorite comics character, the Hollywood companies had been trying to return him at nay price. With titanic efforts in looking for director and Superman himself, the man of steel finally returns. The expectations to the director Brian Singer are very big after his success with "X-Men" and an eventual failure would be the biggest catastrophe in the history of the modern cinema. After Superman (Brandon Routh) returns from traveling in the galaxy he finds out that his beloved Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) is marred and has a son. However, he doesn't have much time to suffer since he has to save the world once again, fighting with the evil Lex Luther (the brilliant Kevin Spacey).

Click Movie
"Click" - the newest movie with Adam Sandler in the leading role. The workaholic Michael Newman (Sandler) appears to be owner of a universal remote control which can forward and rewind through different periods of his life. Everything messes up when the remote control "refuses" to enact his wishes. In the style of "Bruce Almighty", the movie has a light dramatic shade but let us not forget that the director is Frank Coraci who also directed one of the most successful movies of Adam Sandler, "The Waterboy". Starring also Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken, David Hasselhoff.

The Devil Wears Prada Movie
"The Devil Wears Prada" - A young woman (Anne Hathaway) wins a good job in the biggest fashion magazine in New York under the supervision of the uncompromising redactor in chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). Exactly as it is by the book, we expect from the movie more conception than content. The rumors say that the redactor in chief of "Vogue" Anna Winter (who is believed to be the prototype of the Streep's character) had used her relations to create difficulties to the new production of FOX 2000 PICTURES, depriving the cast of the opportunity to shoot at real fashion stages. The director is David Frankel. Also starring Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Adrian Grenier. The premier release of the movie in the USA was on 30 June.

By what criteria these are 'must see' movies, I have no idea. It reads like an advertisement.

This list makes me wretch. It has been a bad summer and this is proof. I wasn't motivated to see anything. And didn't.

Absolutely agree with Adam - not a single quality movie in the previous 2-3 months :(

"Pirates of the Caribbean" wasn't bad at all. However I have to agree that I haven't watched a lot of movies in the summer.

Wheres Snakes on a Plane and Clerks II (Even talladega nights)?

Those were the only worthy movies this summer...

"Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Snakes on a Plane" deserved the spent time. "Click" was just one of the many movies without original ideas.

Actually, "Little Miss Sunshine" was decent. Only one I saw.
